Educational Opportunities include seminars, conferences and college-equivalent courses to sharpen your skills in credit management.

NACM East Tennessee will conduct Credit Administration Program (CAP) Classes in Knoxville. Basic Financial Accounting will run from June 22nd through August 31st and Financial Statement Analysis I will run from September 14th through November 16th. Expand your knowledge, create career opportunities, and lead your company to profitability and growth. These courses will prepare credit professionals for application to the Credit Business Associate (CBA) professional certification. Both courses will be instructed by Brenda S. Boyd, CPA , a certified instructor of the National Institute of Credit (NIC).

Upcoming Seminar - Contracts to Collections: July 21st (Johnson City) & July 22nd (Knoxville)
Who should attend? Contractors, Subcontractors, Project Managers, Job Superintendents, Office Managers What will you learn? Why to use a contract to protect Yourself, when to enforce your lien rights and still maintain customer relationships and how to get paid on time.

NACM-East Tennessee members may attend the periodic Credit & Collection Seminar held locally, to explore pertinent issues like credit applications, lien laws, bankruptcies and corporate structures. Local attorney and representatives from the Sheriff's Department, Bankruptcy Court and Attorney General's Office present the featured topics.

The All-South Conference is held annually within the Southern Region of NACM to address relevant topics for the credit professional.

The NACM Credit Congress and Exposition are national cornerstone events and forums for exchanging leading-edge risk management information on a broader scope. The conference hosts several continuing education programs specifically designed for business and credit professionals.

Credit Financial Development Division (CFDD) is the educational arm of NACM. CFDD in East Tennessee meets monthly and is comprised of credit professionals with a focus on education, networking and support.

With your NACM-East Tennessee membership, you receive the national magazine, Business Credit ten times each year, as well as our local newsletter. Your membership automatically gives you a voice in the laws and legislation that affect credit and collection. NACM maintains a permanent representative in Washington, D.C. to keep you updated on changing policies that affect our industry. There is also an Annual Legislative Conference held in the nation's capital to offer you further opportunities to participate.
